my husband applied for my children canadian certificate back in 2011 in canada .now yesterday he got letter saying that they need dna test of children or else apply it from pakistan ..if we want to go with canada lab for dna test ,what are the ways that my children can travel to canada ??? they are older than 2 years of age and i have heard that there is no temporary visa for children older than 2 years ...is it right ?? plz guide me coz i have already got my passport request and we need to travel together i cant leave my children here ....what to do ????

Excuse me. Does the letter require the DNA test to be done in Canada? If not, maybe the test could be done in any countries in the world?

No need to go to Canada. Labs will mail you the kit for sample collection, then you mail the samples back to them for analysis.

Hi,

I would not ever accept any kit that a company mails to you directly. This will invalidate the consent and continuity and Immigration may reject the results.

You must attend a clinic directly with an appt set up by the DNA company that is approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The one we used has hundreds of locations in Canada so I only needed to travel 10 minutes to my appt. I think the name was Maxxam. thednalab.com. Very fast too.

^ He/She is correct. You cannot do it yourself. You must go to a CIC approved lab. The whole point is that CIC doesn't trust that the child is yours...
