Hey,

I just booked an appointment with a DMP, and found out that he only takes cash. Sounds a bit sketchy!

Is this a regular practise? Just concerned if the medical exam will be legit or not!

Lots of dmps only take cash. If he is on the list, he's legit, even if he requires payment in green Skittles.

LOL... funny. I would add that you should ask for a receipt.

At least you got warning. Mine didn't tell me cash only until I was done. I had to use the ATM in the building and pay fees on top of the charge for the exam!

Not unusual. If they're on the official list, then that's what matters.

my husband is getting his done tomorrow- he's taking pictures, his passport, and 250 dollars (here in israel)...crazy expensive!

It's $440 in the US where I had mine done.

It was $180 in Calgary. Felt like a deal compared to US costs.

Wow.. and I thought mine was alot. I paid $120 to the DMP and $80 at the hospital for X-ray and blood tests.

$200 is very very reasonable. Here in the U.K it is now close to £300 if you use the London PP. Which equates to about $480CAD plus going in to London is expensive either by rail or car. With transportation costs involved your probably looking nearer $550CAD.
