DL Extract query

Folks,

My surname is not mentioned in my driving license. If my first name is A B and last name is C, they mentioned A B in the license.
Will this cause problem for G2 license in Ontario?

I talked to RTO here and they said name cannot be changed and also full name cannot be printed on the card since it is restricted to certain length. So name change not possible. Hence DL extract also would mention A B.

Also the address on DL is old one. But I suppose they won't bother about address. Do they?
Please give your suggestion. Thanks in advance

Hi Sunichak, I came across your query as I was searching for "DL extract" and hence I'm putting down what I came to know. The Ontario RTO would expect your name on DL to match up with the one on the Passport / PR card. That way things might not move as you expected. You can go to the RTO and try to find out more information from them directly.

Name on Canadian license will appear as it is on your passport or COPR or PR Card.
Address you'll have to give local one.
Idk what is extract ? But if you're talking about drivers abstract it's easy procedure. You'll have to surrender your home country license for Canadian one.

If you want your Indian driving exp to be counted then you should get the extract with the name matching your passport, If you want to start from scratch in Canada, Dont worry about it. Its your call now.

Hii..do we need to have anything else then DL extract and international driving permit from
RTO India?
