I am a divorced father of two young girls staying with their canadian mother. I have had no contact with my kids in almost 2 years but know where they live. I tried to get into Canada about 6 years ago to stay with my (then) wife but was not allowed to stay as I was turned around at the airport in hamilton. We were married in Canada and my eldest was born in Selkirk Manitoba and my youngest was born in Dundee Scotland. Can I and my new partner get visitors visas ( we are uk nationals visas may not be needed) to visit Canada for 2 months?

thank you for your fast response firstly i was informed that once i was married i could do all the legal paper work in canada which i know know was incorect. this was after i flew back to hamilton when i arived at the airport i was asked my reson for the visit i then told them that i was wanting to reside in canada and was going to compleat all the legal documentation when arriving back in canada i was told not a chance i was then returend back to the uk. Plus due to my own stupidity my first vist should have only been for six months but i stayed 14months unawaire that i was breaking canadina law once i realised my large error i very promptly left canada. All i want is to visit my two girls with my new partner.

Ok, yes some foolish stuf and bad advice.

You need proof that you will return to the UK. Carry lots of it, and make sure your story is the same as your partners (the truth is the best way).
You also need the financial means to support both of you on your visit.
Think about making an itinerary for the whole duration of your trip, carry that with you as well.

Any more questions, just ask, there are lots of helpful folk here.
