If you separate from your sponsor, then you need to immediately cancel your PR application. You would then need to find some other way to immigrate to Canada.

If you cancel your application, then if you don't have valid status in Canada you would need to leave. The reason for cancelling the app would not really matter.

For the divorce question, you need to talk to a lawyer.

You withdrawing your application will not affect your future work or study visas in other countries. Withdrawing your application does not mean you will be deported.

No need to send his abusive texts, you can simply withdraw the application at any time. He cannot re-apply for you, he needs your signatures and other documents only you can get.

You can't be deported from Canada if you are not even living in Canada.

If you separate then your PR application will simply be cancelled, and that's it. It will not have any negative impact on any future applications for immigration to any country.

As others have said, you can simply withdraw your application and that's it.

Just to be clear - that means you will not get Canadian PR.

you don't have a problem at all, you " don't want to live with him yet you want to go to Canada through his sponsorship? you haven't moved to Canada yet so There's nothing to worry abt . It looks like you are trying to find a way to travel to Canada as yet divorce him right? If Dubai is your home country and you've realized the marriage won't work ? Why risk it? Why are you trying to find a way to be in Canada ? That could seem like you only used him for pr or something . Stay in Dubai , divorce him and find other means to immigrate to Canada . That way you don't have any issues . As for benefit I don't know what kind of benefit you want . If you had any property together maybe you share it after divorce . If not I don't see what benefit you deserve. Talk to a lawyer like others have said . Don't keep the pr going because you want to go to Canada though .

While it remains to be seen still . . . with all due respect, she hasn't clearly stated such intentions. Not yet anyway.

I think at least she's better than others in that she doesn't try to land in Canada and try to live there for a while and claim abuse to get PR. At least she's willing to leave him before the PR application is finalized. But the part where she said, "What benefit do I get?", I"m assuming that means how much of his assets can she get after the divorce, I don't know if she can claim anything if she's not even in Canada.

I agree with mostly everything you say Obronibini, but just give her credit for at least doing the right thing and cancelling it and not trying to live a lie.

As for you Menoneya, this cancellation won't affect your future study/work permit to come here, but should you try to come here as a sponsored spouse again, there might be a bit of scrunity against you because they will notice you tried to come as a spouse before.

I was just asking , trying to figure out that clearly . Maybe I didn't put it right , clearly I've asked some questions and her responds will give me fair idea what it really like . Because she's not even landed yet but she is talking about "living with him " sorry .

ok that's great then . That was what I was wondering about because I envision things may get worst when you land . If it like this now that you are apart then it a good idea to do as you are saying . Nothing will happen in future for withdrawing your application . Have a nice day and all the best . Oh what benefit were you referring to ? Did you get response you needed for that? :)
