Divorce in the middle of FSWP immigration process

Hi,

I applied for FSWP Canadian Immigration in June 2014. I am principal applicant and my status is MR received by them.

I expect to receive PPR in a couple of months.

I would like to ask how divorce is going to impact the status.

Please advice ASAP

after the court order you have to immediately inform the local visa office and send email to CIC.
your spouse may not be eligible for dependent status but your children if under your custody may get the dependent immigrant status.

they wont return your immigration fees for spouse.

It could cause problems if you obtained any points for your spouse and without your spouse's points to fall below 67 points.
