Has someone else has experienced this situation?
I've been married and divorced twice. On IMM5540, Q#17, it asks me to submit a divorce certificate. I have a divorce certificate for my second marriage, but it's been about 30 years since my first divorce. Do I need to submit a divorce certificate for the first divorce? Obviously, I could not marry the second time unless I was divorced.
I have lost touch with my first wife and have no idea where the divorce certificate is.
Thank you in advance for any information.

You should submit it - you should be able to get a copy from the records office of the office/cout that issued the divorce decree.

Divorce certificates are important documents and you should be able to get it from the registry office. Provide rather more evidence of things than less. Any hole in your history or document trail and they have a spot to pry your case open.

I was divorced twice also and sent both certificates in. Do you have any correspondence or any forms from that proceeding. Your court file no. never changes so if you can find the number it would be very easy for them to get from the archives otherwise you will have to attend at the court office and request a file search.
