Distance Education valid for quebec immigration ?

Hello friends !
I'm very much confuse on Distance education.
I did Master in computer science from sikkim manipal University in 2006. and I'm planning to forward my document. but some of my friends told me that distance education will not gets any points from academic qualification. Is it true ?
are there any friends who got csq with distance education degree ? .
lets share experience .
 
Unfortunately NO, Distance education does not get points.

(Pursuant to R77 A distance learning credential is eligible for points as long as it meets the definition of a credential
as outlined in R73. If the credential is not described in terms of number of years duration (i.e.,
three-year bachelor's degree), officers should apply the definition of full-time equivalent study and
knowledge that the visa office has acquired on local education institutions and credentials.
There is a high incidence of fraud in this area. Verification checks should be conducted with
issuing institutions to ensure that program integrity standards are respected.
Pursuant to R78, officers should assess the application and award the applicant up to a maximum
of 25 points for education.)
 
Dear Satya,

Yes It is valid. Read the visaexpert post he mentioned all details. You can refer OP6 Manuals for more details. As SMU is UGC Approved so it is valid.

yes, Quebec accepts it.

I've more than 4 years exp in in teaching computer science subject.
 
I do not think distance learning is valid for Quebec immigration. R77 A is federal not quebec rules.

hello bro, I 'm sure distance education from sikkim manipal is valid for qeubec.

I would like to apply for Quebec migration. My qualification is B.Tech EC (Full Time) and 5 years of experience (Full Time)in It industry and now completed MBA Information System Management ( Distance education from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore India). Before completing MBA I was tried to apply migration to Quebec and not qualified due to relevant experience with graduate degree. Now don't know am I able to apply with MBA (distance education) and status is married. Please help me to suggest.
