Hi everyone,

I went through the family class sponsorship last year, good luck to everyone waiting! I found this forum extremely helpful with the application, so thanks!

I am now doing a piece of writing about potentially discriminatory screening practises used when sponsoring family members.

Is there anyone who feels as they were unfairly treated by immigration officials when they were applying for their visa and would be willing to be interviewed or share their experiences? I am looking for any form of discrimination. Feel free to direct message me if you feel more comfortable.

Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting for their visa, I know how agonising it is!

Just out of curiosity, what points have you got so far?

You are opening a can of worms. Read the threads for Pakistani spouse sponsorship and Afghan spouse sponsorship through India. I am not sure if it is extra screening or discrimination. Hard to tell. Also, look at how long their cases took, the problem they faced and the extra money they had to spend for doing medicals again and PCC.

I forgot. Also, please read through the appeal cases on this forum. Share your finding with us. Thanks
