I'm so excited that I got an ITA!

However, in the PR application, it asks if I've ever been arrested, and in another question, if I've ever been detained/incarcerated.

I'm worried because although I otherwise have a clean record (I'm currently 27 years old), I did get in trouble when I was 14 or 15 (I don't even remember the exact age) for allegedly shoplifting. The police came to the store, took me to the police station but then released me when my parents came to pick me up, and I don't remember criminal charges being filed, but I did end up having to have a one-time visit with a juvenile probation in a juvenile facility -- when I was then told my record would be sealed.

Honestly, I don't remember much of it, it was a blur. But should I still select 'yes' to both the arrest question and the being-detained question? Is there a way for me to check if my record actually has been cleared?

This is in the US, in California.

Thanks in advance!

Juvenile records typically do not show up on FBI background checks. It sounds like you did a diversion program rather than go through the court system, but I would check with the local courthouse/police department and try to request a copy of the record to see what exactly was filed/recorded. I'm going to assume you don't recall if you were read your Miranda rights?

I think I vaguely, vaguely remember possibly being read my Miranda rights...but I'm not 100% sure.
