My spouse lives and works in BC and I live in Michigan. When I'm approved, we're planning to move to Ontario so that we're closer to my family and can live in a less expensive area than where she's from. Her job won't transfer, but we've got about 10K put away for living expenses while we get settled and look for work. Do we need to disclose our plans in immigration packet?

No. The assumption will be that after getting PR you'd go live in BC where she's living now.

However this really has no bearing on your application. Even after getting COPR you can "land" wherever you want in Canada (outside Quebec), and it doesn't matter if it's not in the province you applied from. I wouldn't even mention it.

Thank you! I appreciate and will be sure that we don't allude to it and that none of our friends or family do in their letters either.

Yeah, unless there's something glaring in your application that makes it absolutely necessary to give this additional info, leave it out. No point in opening up an unnecessary can of worms. Focus on getting your PR and reuniting with your wife. Once that's out of the way, you can continue your plans without CIC scrutiny.

Good luck!
