Directly Related work experience

Hi guys, I've got an issue. So, I was a receiver NOC 1521 in a warehouse, I was also a Lumping Supervisor NOC 1215, while working in the warehouse.

I got promoted to a receiving supervisor, and decided to apply for my PNP. Anyway while filling out my application, I put in both the jobs which i've been doing simultaneously, under the directly related work experience. Now I was told by someone that my application will be rejected for sure, because I'm showing more experience then I actually have like 2 years of experience in a 1 year kinda thing, just because I was doing 2 jobs. Ofcourse it helped my PNP score, however I had no intention to increase my score like that, I just submitted what I thought was relevant. Receiver to Receiving Supervisor, and I did have experience supervising as well. Get what i mean?

p.s as a lumping supervisor you do not have to be at the location all the time, its mostly coordinating my crew.

Anyone has any experience in this issue or has any idea pls advice, on what do I do, my file is in process, and I don't want to end up in a situation where it takes forever to get an answer from BcPNP, where they throw my case around and end up rejecting it anyway after many months. If it's not going to work out i'd rather withdraw it now.

BCPNP is very strict on Directly Related Experience. According to the BCPNP Skills Immigration Application Guide, BCPNP will ONLY consider a work experience is directly related to your job position in the BCPNP Registration/Job offer if the NOC skill level of your work experience is equal to or higher than the NOC skill level of the job position in your BCPNP Registration/Job offer. In addition ,you must be able to demonstrate how they are directly related (i.e. the job duties of the two positions are pretty much the same).

In your case, the NOC skill level of the Warehouse Receiver (1521) work experience that your included in your BCPNP registration is LOWER than your job in your BCPNP Job offer (Receiving Supervisor 1215), so apparently this work experience will not be counted.

Regarding the other work experience (Lumping supervisor) that you did simultaneously with the receiver job, since you said its NOC Code is also 1215 which is the same as the NOC Code of the job position in your BCPNP job offer, it may be counted as directly related experience. It depends on whether your job duties of this lumping supervisor job is similar to the job duties of the receiving supervisor (at least they should be similar in the BCPNP officers' eyes). These information are shown in your resume that you should have submitted online, so they will compare them and make a decision on whether they are similar or not.

I wouldn't say that they will refuse your application solely based on this ground for sure. Let's say that they don't feel the job duties of these two positions are similar (touch wood); before they make a decision to refuse your application, they will likely (and they are legally required to) send you a Procedural Fairness Letter to give you a chance to explain how are these two positions are directly related. This is your one and only chance to make your case.

BCPNP will not postpone in processing your application unreasonably, so it won;t take forever for them to give you an answer. You should be able to hear from them within the next couple of months, with either an Approval or a Procedural Fairness Letter. You should be prepared to explain in depth on how are your work experiences in different positions directly related.

I hope you are well. I have a question about related work experience in bcpnp. I've worked in construction company as a project manager and supervisor for more than 10 years in my country. Now I'm working as a painter in canada for about 2 years. I was wondering if I can use my work experienc of my country in bcpnp? I dont know they are related job experience
