Diploma program (2-year study)

Hello. I am from the Philippines and i am already a degree holder of Accountancy. i really want to settle in Canada and the only possible way for me is to study there and then have a work permit thereafter. My problem is that, i am not really sure if a DIPLOMA (2 years) program can be subjected to a work permit. By the way, i am planning to take up DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. If yes, then for how long? Please explain to me in detailed and what to do. Thanks in advance.

Yes you will get 3 years work permitt after 2 years of study. But your proposed study is not related to your previous and that might cause some problem.

Accounting is related to business really and the diploma in business administration has accounting subjects. Can you explain to me what are the common problems that may arise in my case in taking that diploma program? Also, can i take diploma programs in ANY school? As i read the accredited schools, my prefer school doesn’t include diploma program when it comes to pathway to work permit. Please advice me. Thank you so much.

In that case just prepare strong SOP.
Your school should be in designated learning institute list which provide work permit. Just check that list online before applying.

If you have a degree than rejection chances would be high as it’s very difficult to get study permit on two year diploma ,,visa officer know that it’s a sugar coated way to get a PR. It would better for you to apply in masters program
