Diploma in Canada after masters

Hello.. ANYBODY on this forum who applied for 1 year diploma after masters degree and got VISA?

If anyone please reply as I have done masters+b.ed and now wish to apply for diploma in Canada :-X

Procedure is difficult. You have to contact supervisors before applying. If they say yes then only you get admission..This is a big problem..I mailed certain professors but they didn't replied..That is why I am thinking about post graduate diploma...pls tell me if I would face visa problems for that..

you are talking about your previous professors right? then..
dont mail them, i suggest you go talk with your professors face to face so they can know that u want to get into PHD program.

u can take diploma after masters, but that is not really a good idea, u will be studying a lower rank of education after masters. and also chances of getting study visa will be low.

and if u graduate from PHD program , your pay will be higher than masters or diploma program.

Yes you can very well apply for either master's again or PG Diploma/certificate. Though Phd falls in right place for you looking at the progression. However, yes the process is tedious and really time consuming. For Phd, you will be first of all applying with a Uni not a college and anyway for Uni admissions, one need to apply at least 6 to 8 months ahead of start date. For Phd, I don't know even if you are eligible I mean have you written any papers earlier on your subject of specialization, what's ur academic standing, do you have letters from your professors describing your standings etc etc.

To address your question, you can apply for PG diploma or Masters program. Select a program according to your previous studies and experience if any.

I have done M.Sc in Stem cell and tissue engineering (subject of life sciences) and I want to go to Canada for further studies.Following is my profile.
Can anybody predict my Visa chances as I am very much afraid to apply for diploma after masters degree.

I want to apply for advance diploma named Biotechnology technologist-Industrial Microbiology in Centennial college

For PhD I contacted supervisors bt they did not replied me...so I left the idea of doing PhD :-[ ...as time is passing by...
I already missed sept adm and nw dont wnt to miss jan adm

Could you tell me if this diploma is fine or I shud choose another one????

I would guess the advanced diploma is considered at the MSC level in terms of progression. Why not try for MSC? or M-ED?

I would put all my money on PHD aswell. No point trying and getting rejected for a diploma just because you want to get there right now.

After detailed research and advise of experts on this forum I have found that Diploma after mastersis not a good choice....
It shud be taken as last option....when you have tried all other...And there's huge risk in that...

Call them first. Talk to professors. Then, if they ask, email everything to them.
