Diploma and Trade certificate?

Is there any difference between a diploma program and trade certificate program? Will it create any difference while getting the PGWP and work after completion of the program?

I have been admitted to Red River College at winnipeg and will study Business Technology Management there. It is a 28 months course of diploma program including a 4 months Co-op program.

I am coming to study the Heavy Mechanical foundation program at okanagan college in February 2019, it is a 9 month program. Do you think that will qualify under the EE Canadian experience class once i complete the course? My lawyer thinks i will be able to gain BC PNP through an employer and then hope to get PR this way. What do you think?
