Hello guys,

Shall I take a photo from my smart phone and match the requirements of IRCC or shall I go to the photo studio?

I have some people in the forums already mentioning doing any, but I have a question about it that is it okay to upload digital photo from smart phone? I mean at this point of time at the e-APR stage.

This is for PR application.

Where do you upload the back side of the photo? For Digital photo, just one copy of the front side photo is enough, right?

scan both sides and merge them into one PDF. CiC requirements both front and back of the photo with very specific details. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-card/apply-renew-replace/photo.html
Also it says,
The back of one photo must include:
  • the subject’s name and date of birth
  • the name and complete address of the photography studio
  • the date the photograph was taken
The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.

This doesn't sound like a paper application?

why does it sound like a paper application? follow the instructions, scan both front and back sides of the phot, merge them into one PDF file and upload. its standard procedure.

For e-APR photo get it done at a photo studio to the exact specifications that IRCc requires. The studio should be able to email you the raw digital photo which you upload when submitting your application. The details on the back of one photo are only required for when you get the passport request and COPR. At that time you need to send a physical photo.
