When applying to renew or correct a permanent resident card through your online account, the requirements for digital photos are the following: (This applies to eAPR too)
*Format: JPEG
*File size: 5 megabytes maximum, saved directly from the original file captured by the camera
*Image size: 1 680 pixels high by 1 200 pixels wide
*Chin-to-crown ratio: 50 percent of the image height
*Subject position: The chin should be as close as possible to an imaginary horizontal line at 40 percent of the height of the image.
*Compression: minimal compression to ensure maximum quality
