Hi, I am trying to apply for citizenship for my kid who was born in India. I need to submit birth certificate as proof. In her Birth certificate from India, the last names are not expanded (Like Deepika R instead of Deepika Ravi). But in other documents like passport, She has full name on it. Even the parent last names on the birth certifcate are not expanded. Is it a problem when i apply Canadian citizenship? Do we need to submit any additional document?

Write the name as per passport. For the birth certificate, you could probably get a notarized affidavit that states that the last names are not expanded but the persons mentioned in the birth certificate are all one and the same.
This is only my opinion.
