Different File Number

Dear all

I applied in 2010 and received AOR in Jun, 2010 with application number B123456789 and after all my correspondence did this number, eventually I received an Email from Client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca in 2013, this email with different file no. which start from "E". Recently I received Email from above mentioned Email with "E" file no. I am confused about the genuineness of this Email. Plz Help

They have switched to new software , and all files numbers are now changed to E from B
Please mention both file numbers like this on all communication with them

File No EXXXXXXX / BXXXXXXXX
