Different family name in my son passport

I want to apply for TRV to my son but the spelling of his family's name in the passport is different from mine.

it is only different in one letter.

Should he change his family name in the passport or not?

If the name in the passport is not his actual name then why would you not correct it as opposed to allowing him to travel with in effect a 'false name ' ? Whether is a single letter or not still sounds as though incorrect.

It is not false or not actual last name, just different spilling like "Abdelqader" and ''Abdalqader'' he want to visit me.
Does this difference effect to prove the relationship?

Going forward, your son/you might find it easier to have the family name in his passport changed than to explain to various authorities that he is related to you
