do you get the AOR from ottawa? or the Nova Scotia office issues it?

I got the AOR from Ottawa office. Reading the other posts in this forum, I guess all applicants you have applied after JAn 2012 get AOR from Ottawa office.

How long did Ottawa office sent you your AOR after your check was cashed?

approx 3 weeks

Was it through email or post you received your AOR?...Its more than 3weeks now for some people who got their check/money cashed

these days everyone gets via email if had you mentioned your email address in the PR application.

Regarding the delay.. not sure why CPP-O is taking so much time. Even some of the Jan applicants and none of the FEb applicants ( as far as i know) did not get the medicals. Next week, I would be completing 2 months after I got AOR. Still I did not get medicals..

Might be because of the Buffalo closure..not sure though.. need to wait and see.

Was made to understand, it takes approx. 2-3mths after money has been cashed to get AOR+MR same time. But l think different cases for different folks...Because there are some people who got AOR+MED same time and others who got the differently...But like you said..."WAIT & SEE"
Are you on the PIRIORITY LIST (code 130)?

sorry I am not aware of this priority list... what is it and where can i check ?

Check under number 19 of your CSQ certificate....what did you study?

Its not applicable for me. I ama temporary foreign worker and I am in Alberta. I did not apply for CSQ and did not include it in my application.

CC-Charged means NOTHING!!!

it's best to keep uninformed opinions to yourself.
if they charged your CC or accepted payment, it means you have done all that was asked based on the guide and the checklist. this means you then get AOR. it doesn't mean that you will be approved, but that you have provided all the documents, and signed wherever you needed to sign, and you don't have to worry about your application being returned (unless there was an egregious oversight).

so...it means you have passed the first hurdle. a small one, but still, small success nonetheless.

it is not a small hurdle it is a big hurdle, it costed me 6 years of additional waiting because I got discouraged by it and delayed applying for 1 year.
It is a positive step forward.

My bank draft was cashed August 5th 2011 (sent my application June 17 2011)... however I didn't get my AOR until February 2012. I think it depends on who is working on your application.

@cec2011

Thanks for sharing your experience on this issues...wowwwwwww 8mths?...thats is pretty long...That was what l was trying to say it means nothing...but a BIG THANKS to YOU, Ihabkal, & smithcanada for detailed explaination through your experiences in this issue

Thanks

My credit card charged on April 16th, but no AOR yet. I'm a bit worried and confused whether my application gets returned, any suggestions guys, please.

Cheers.

They would not charge your card if they were going to return the application. Relax and wait for AOR(acknowledgement of receipt) and may be medical request too.
