I received a work permit at the time of entry on immigration. My program has a Co-Op. I am confused if it is an actual work permit or a co-op. how will I determine that?

1. While submitting your study permit application, did you mention you have a Co-Op, and did you attach proof of that?
2. Co-Op work permit, as far as I know, is a closed work permit. It will mention your school as your employer, to prevent students from using it as an open work permit and working 40 hours' full time. Under the conditions of the coop work permit, you can only work full time in the semester/period designated by your school.

Hope this helps you figure out what you got.

It doesn’t says anything about my school as in my employer.
Remarks/Observations:
EMPLOYMENT PRACTICUM CANNOT FORM MORE THAN 50% OF THE TOTAL PROGRAM OF STUDY.
AUTHORIZED TO UNDERTAKE EMPLOYMENT WHICH FORMS INTEGRAL PART OF STUDIES AS CERTIFIED BY THE INSTITUTION.
that’s it says

i did mention about my co-op while submitting my application.

This tells us two things, which is standard for coop work permits ->
1. 50% length. If your program is say 4 semesters, you cannot do your internship for a length of more than 2 semesters.
2. It clearly mentions the school has to sign off on the employer.

Under additional information, in the middle of the permit what is written next to employer? Your institution name?

Definitely a Co-op work permit as @RamSatt said.
