hi i am 23 year old i am planning for a hospitality management course in Canada

i could not able to complete my btech computer science engineer due to standing arrears

as i am owning a hotel i am planning to change my carrier into hospitality field

so i found a consultant they prefer me a diploma course in hotel management in Canada ( by hiding btech computer science degree )

please tell me the difference between the diploma and pg diploma regarding the credits, job, pr .. etc

can any one give solution for my problem..... pls

Diploma is normally lesser than a degree, 2-3 years and Post Graduate Diploma is lesser than a Masters, usually 1 year course.

Canada usually appreciate degrees (undergraduate or postgraduate), however there are people who are also doing good after completing diplomas, its all depends upon your other calibers (networking, inter-personal skills etc.) in grabbing jobs.

If you study in Canada for two or more years (either diploma or degree), then you will be able to get another 3 years extension of visa to look for jobs, in that time, if you could manage good jobs, start working and then think about applying for PR and other stuff.

Regards

Mostly you will find that a pg diploma requires you to have a bachelors degree as a part of the course prerequisites whereas a diploma just requires high school education. If you do not plan to use the credits from your previous university studies, it may be better to apply for a diploma course.
Best of luck :)
