I was supposed to have my hearing last friday (june 12), because my case is hopeless and I am about to get married, someone suggested not to show up at the hearing because that can buy me more time to get married.

Me and my girlfriend (been together for 2 years) are getting married this sunday. (June 21)

(first question)
I was wondering if anybody knows how long do I have to submit the application for sponsorship and PR.
(second question)
I know that I have to submit the marriage certificate with the application, and I'v read that I have to apply for one which takes 2-3 months before I can get it from the day I get married. But then I'v noticed that on my marriage license I have something that looks like this: http://www.readersadvice.com/mmeade/wedding/wedpix/marrrecd.jpg "This is to certify that __ and __ were married on date _____"
Wouldn't be that good enough for the immigration and name assuming?

Thanks!
You are in deep doo-doo. The IRB will now hold a show cause hearing for the abandonment of your claim. If you are found to have abandoned your claim, then the removal order becomes effective. You better show up for the show cause, which you will probably lose on the basis of bad advice.

One, that was the worst advice you could have listened to....I'm sorry to say. And even though [if] your relationship is genuine, it's going to be scrutinized even more now - as your motives might appear confounded :(. If they deny your original claim, and a deportation order is called, memory fails me, but there is a period of time you will not be able to come back to canada [in order to be sponsored by a spouse etc...].

You really need some sound legal advice by a LAWYER, and if you can't afford one, you should look to the local Immigrant Services in your area, or Legal Aid. Did you have a lawyer assisting you in your refugee claim?

It was advice given by my lawyer actually...

So you're saying there no point submitting the sponsorship application?
Submit the sponsorship by all means, but there is a very good chance that you will be removed from Canada, it will have to processed at an overseas office.

Is there anything I can do to remain in Canada?
What if I submitted H&C?
Very unlikely to be successful. You yourself said that your case is "hopeless" which leads me to believe that you just claimed to be a refugee when you're not really. I have no pity for you. No, getting married will not "save" you. If the deportation order stands, you can and will be deported. Get yourself a better lawyer.

One,

it's really hard to interpret what is going on without a complete picture...maybe if you typed in teh letter verbatim, it would be easier to know what the hearing is about, and what they are actually requesting - obviously omit your name, dob, file number from the letter [anonymize the letter] but the contents would be helpful in knowing better what they are actually telling you, in order to give you our advice or suggestions - which are just that, suggestions, you still should seek better counsel.

ariell... if you have no intentions to help me, please save your breath, you don't know my situation so I don't think you're in a position to judge.

Today I received a letter from refugee protection board that says "Proceeding Date: August XX, 2009" and in that letter they request to diclose some documents at least 20 days before proceeding date.

Does it mean that my hearing got postponed?

Thanks
I was also going to say indefence of Ariell [and other readers here] - not that she needs it, but you yourself, suggested your case was hopeless, you didn't show up for the hearing, and you are getting married. You don't provide any formidable details, give us scant information, we can only go on what you tell us - and even as I suggested your intentions seem very coincidental that you are marrying so close to your hearing being avoided - BUT only you can give the full picture (you haven't done that here, yet). If you provide the entire story/history, maybe doing so will explain some things better and actually give anyone reading this a better basis on which to give you their suggestions.
