Didn't receive AOR email after 16 months of submission

Hello Guys,
We have submitted G5 sponsorship application 16 months ago application was received Jan 11 2023 after nine months we received email requesting extra documents that submitted. Now, a file has been created in the system file # XG000, I contacted IRCC they confirm application is received and its in the system pending an officer to review but we haven't receive AOR email after 16 months. Any idea or advise?

we live in pakistan brother, group of 5 is very slow. Sharifa do you have un refugee id card? is there a unhcr in malysia? plz contact me @ qiam.ahmadi@gmail.com

There is a quota for private sponsorship per year with many more applicants than spots so yes it is a long process.

I'm a registered refugee in Malaysia, my application of 5 group of sponsorship file has been submitted in September 2023 but still no respond from IRCC ,
It seems very slow process in Malaysia

Private sponsorship is rarely a fast process.
