I have a half sister I was fairly introduced to at the age of 5 but because my dad had two wives and my mummy was the second. After the death of my mum I got to know he had a second wife but I didn't have a relationship with the second family so I didn't declare them on my study permit because I had no information about them. I got to know later by my dad few days after I arrived in Canada and I was facing abit of a challenge that my half sister is here in Canada. We reconnected and we have since been living together. I got ITA now and I am claiming her, can I just write a letter of explanation attaching our birth certificates to show we have same fathers, my mum's death certificate and pictures of us together to prove our relationship?
*please note that when she came into Canada she didn't declare me either because of the family circumstances and she has already applied for citizenship but waiting for a decision. I would also like to know if claiming her would affect her own application.
Thank you
