Did the CIC change the style of writing?

I just checked my CIC account and see some changes. "Scheduling an interview" has change to "Interview". "A background check is needed" has changed to "background check". Also my status of interview has changed to "You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes". My status of Background check" has changed to "Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check".
Any idea?
 
It's what the system update was for that's why MyCIC was inaccessible earlier :-)
 
This small change should help alleviate the flood of people calling CIC with some very simple questions

Review of medical result what does it say for you over there?
 
This update also took me by surprize, I thought status got updated, but no, they just changed text in all the fields, replacing them with longer explanations.

Mine now says:

Application status We received your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents We need additional documents to process your application. Check your messages below for details.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Longer explanations doesnt make sense. It used to say: interview is not needed at THIS moment. If it's not update then why would they change it to you do NOT need an Interview ?

To worry people less perhaps.

If you say " interview is not needed at THIS moment" some interpret it as there is another moment when it will be needed.
They simplified it.

Also my BC says: your application is in progress. The NEXT step is to conduct a background check. When they mention the next step is to conduct a BC then I can conclude all the previous steps are passed for now!

The most important step is eligibility. Background check ties into eligibility, same as medical. Once they have your background check done they can decide on eligibility, and after that the final decision.

Youre right but I was talking about the interview once the BC is clear then eligibility will get approved that makes sense but for now you don't need an interview, maybe if they find something in your BC then they can ask for an interview. Let's have finger crossed for all those ppl waiting ✌
 
I actually appreciate this bit of elaboration. I think it does help ease a fraction of the stress and worry people have during this process.
