Did not translate my Birth Certificate in my CEC application

Hi everyone,

I did not translate/notarized my birth certificate and my national ID copies to English in my CEC application. What is going to happen?
Also Canada Post Xpresspost that I used to send the application package is still in transit, should I try to get it back before it's delivered?

Chances are very very high that your documentation would be returned to you as incomplete. If it is indeed possible for you to get the package back before it is delivered, that would be the best option, as you would avoid delays that you would incur in case your application is received and then returned.

You have a couple of options here:

1. Wait and see if you get the AOR:
- if you get the AOR, submit the missing documentation after receiving the AOR
- if you don't get the AOR and your application is returned to you, re-submit with missing documents.

2. Email CIO and ask them to return your application before processing, then re-submit with all required documents.

IMHO, chances are that your application will be returned before the AOR is issued based on an incomplete application package.

My application did get returned. Do I resubmit just with the missing documents or do I have to redo all the application again with today's date? Thanks.

Hi Shiva,

Read the paper that CIC attached to your return package, they usually highlighted the document that you have missed. Don't redo unless they asked you, just simply attach requested document and send your package as soon as possible.

But I did travel outside the country after sending the application, so shouldnt I update the travel information?

fill them up. once most of the data is to be copy-pasted it will take you up to 2 hours.

Also where can I find the list of certified translators I can go to for my birth certificate?

So I just refill the Travel form right? Not the other application as well? Because they are still the same.
