Did not list step sister on PR application

I got my PR in 2013 and currently a citizen. During my PR application I omitted to mention my step sister (different father) as it was a strained relationship I had no details of her whereabouts.
During a family function back home last year we reconnected and I found out she has a son (27) currently doing his masters. The son has expressed interest in visiting Canada this summer break and I want to invite him.

Now my problem is I don’t know how to describe my relationship with my nephew as I did not list his mom on my PR application. I’m thinking using my birth certificate and my step sister’s birth which will show we have the same mother. I’m worried as records will shoot she was never listed as a sibling in the first place.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Hello Everyone, I am in a similar situation. When applying for my student visa I made a huge mistake and listed my HALF-SISTER as SISTER (IMM 5645 Section C). My visa was approved. Is this considered a misrepresentation that would prevent me from ever entering Canada? What should I do? Should I contact IRCC to correct the mistake, or explain this when I apply for PR later. Hey, I also did not add my siblings in study permit application but in PR application I mentioned them all and just attached a letter with explanation. They did not ask me anything and I got approved my PR

I think that should be fine but you can send them web form to correct it I believe

Hi Sonia, My agent also made same mistake and forgot to add my sister's information during my study permit application in 2019. In near future, I am applying for PR application, in which I want to correct that mistake and add my sibling information. But I am afraid that would that be considered as misrepresentation? Can you please guide me what you did to explain the situation?
