Did I pass the long waiting part for my TRV ?

Hello,
I applied for a visitor visa for myself on the GCkey portal to do a research internship in canada (work permit exempt).
I applied 28 February, Biometric given on 2 March.

My application status is :

• We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements
• You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
• We do not need additional documents.
• You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
• We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
• Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

On the check processing time page I see 63 days for my current country. However I feel like I passed the long waiting part. Is that false hope and I need to wait 2 month for my visa ?
If anyone had the same experience please share it with me.

What is work permit exempt? There is LMIA exemption but you still apply for a work permit.

Long story, but people who will be doing a research internship for less than 120 days are work permit exempt ... (I think )

I would not read too much into it. Eligibility review may take weeks. Same with background check. You may get lucky with an answer before the average processing time.
