If applying from Quebec, you need to get a csq first.

My boyfriend is Quebecer and we've been dating when we were high school students and we'll have been together for three years by the time we apply for it.
I'd like to stay here more with him but we'll be young and have lived for only one year.

You need to have proofs to justify your common law partnership - lease docs, bills, bank statements etc.
When you say young, I don't get it? Do you mean minor? I doubt if you are allowed that as in common law partner but others can comment.

If you have proofs to prove your common law, you are good to go. You have to also provide a basic french language proficiency proof.
