It's been almost a month since the visa office at Detroit received my passport.
What do you guys think, should I send them an email?

sure, why not - doesn't hurt.

When they quote the number of days for processing they mean business days, i.e. no weekends.

They will be sending CoPR and passport in the same envelop.

Does anyone know if the pre-paid envelope that we include with the passport (passport copies in my case) is only for the returning of the passport or is it also used to include the COPR ? or does the COPR come separately from CIC?

I sent my package to the Windsor address (instead of detroit) via regular mail but included a pre-paid xpress post envelope, which will be sent from Windsor.

Cheers

It wouldn't be a bad idea to contact them as its taking more than usual time.

Don't care about the PP, as I only gave them copies..but they better for the CoPR - I paid 16 bucks for that envelope - so it better come to some use! LOL

It looks like a lot of applicants got PPR around the same time this month. I'd probably expect some delay in Detroit because of the influx of passports...

Hi.

Anybody got a some news or changing status...?
I have nothing except my ecas appeared 'your current home address' beside 'your current mailing address'.
The home address just showing only 'Calgary, Alberta, Canada'.
Do you guys know what is that mean? good thing or nothing? :'(
I hope everybody get a some news next week~

Thanks.

Hi.

Finally, I got Decision made today.
My ecas showing "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."
I hope I will get a COPR and landing in this week.

I think It doesn't matter where you sent your document, just matter is when you sent it.
You sent it after few days when I sent mine, so I guess you will get a DM soon.
