Hi,

I was arrested and detained by ICE/INS and then released due to a prior deportation order which was canceled by the judge but when I ran the FBI check it came back with the record saying that I was detained by ICE and then they had multiple spellings of my name on the report. My wife has the interview waiver from CIC and we have to submit this report to them. Hers came back clean.
Will this affect the Canada Immigration?
Should we do something before we submit this?
Is there any information anyone can share with us regarding this?

Thank you,

It should not affect your Canadian application unless you have a criminal record. If so, you will have to apply for rehab.

Based on what I've seen on this forum your US immigration will not affect your Canadian immigration many people with deportation orders, visa overstay etc in the US have immigrated to Canada successfully with no problem. You would only have issues In case of criminality

Thanks guys!!
I was very worried when I saw the FBI report. I have no criminal record. The FBI report says "Detained by ICE. Alien in removal process."
