"Reference letter" its a letter that your employer should give to you, it should contain, your period of job with that employer, your main deties, your salary or any other benifits. Letter should to on official pad of company/employer where you worked included official stamp and signature + one business card of person who is signing.

Reference letter just as a model could be like this ,

Date: __________

To whom it may concern,

I confirm that XX(your name)XX was employed as XX(your job title)XX with this organization from "Dates with period of your employment". His annual salary was "-" included "XXXXXXXX" allowance.

Their job of "-----" carries the following responsibilities:

I'm sure he would be tremendous asset for any his future employers. If you have any further questions with regard to his background or qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully,
Name,signature,stamp,telephone.

Hope this gives clarity. Good luck.

Thanks a lot Sri for your gr8 feedback.
t
But what if my previous employers are not willing to give letters. I have almost 12 years of experience and total 5 employers. I can arrange letters from my present and previous employers but not possible from my last three employers.

Can I make letters on my own.

It will be a risky choice.
In your self declaration, you have to give your manager contact details like official E- mail ID, contact numbers to reach etc. You may need to give reason why you are not able to get the ref. letters from your previous employers.

Good luck

What i heard is, that the current employer is important for CIC.
I would suggest, you write an email to your ex employer.. mentioning all your job details.. responsibilities and asking for a letter.... let them reply to that email that you are no more working with us, and we issued u an experience certificate and a new one is not possible to be issued to u .. you can attach this email to it.. it will be a sort of self written job description and their refusal too...

What do you say?

If it's your husband's firm, let it be signed by anyone in administration. Even if they call for confirmation your husband can tell them that the concerned person has left his firm.
