Details on DOB not clear...

Dear All

My DOB is 30 years old and had to tape it to prevent it from ripping. a few information (like SEX) isnt clear properly and have some information has faded if take a xerox. Is that fine or do i have it certified?

DOB?? you mean birth certificate?
Well it's better to have it certified IMO

It's going to be very hard if parts of it aren't clear/legible. You may need to get a new one.
