Hey Folks,

My NOC is 2171 and my visa process consultant has suggested me to apply for PEI PNP, but I am not convinced since am not sure about the job opportunities for my NOC (2171) at PEI. Can anyone check and advise if it's a right move for me to apply PEI PNP and if it has opportunities for 2171? Also, I would like to know if a valid job offer from PEI employer is mandatory for applying PNP. :-\

Hello,

I'm living PEI now and I recommend you to find your job first before you move to here. Really hard to find job here.
And if you apply PEI PNP as a skilled worker, YES. You need valid job offer from PEI employer.

Hey,

As far as my understanding is concerned, I do not think you need a job offer to apply for PEI PNP. Also, regarding job market, even if the job market there is slow, you can always migrate to another province in search of better job opportunities.

Hey beckstellam,

Thank you for your valuable info. Yes, I just went through the pre-requisites on the website and it says the applicant must have a job offer by PEI employer.

Under the Skilled Worker Stream, the applicant must:
Have a full-time, long-term (i.e. permanent or minimum of 2 years) job offer from a Prince Edward Island employer at a NOC skill level O, A or B.
Have a valid work permit if currently employed by a Prince Edward Island employer.
Have legal status in country of residence.
Be able to attend an interview at the Office of Immigration, if required.
Have successfully completed minimum 2 year post secondary education degree or diploma.
Be between 21 and 59 years of age.
Have at least two years of full-time work experience within the past five years.
Possess sufficient English and/or French language ability to perform the job offered by a Prince Edward Island employer. Language ability can be verified by one of the following:
An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) or Test d’Évaluation de Français (TEF) test result with a minimum band score of 4 obtained within the last 2 years; or
Declaration of language ability from the Island employer offering the full-time job; or
Educational/training documents from an internationally recognized institution, indicating the principal language studied/communicated was in English and/or French.
Demonstrate sufficient settlement supports and financial resources as indicated by transferable funds, in order for the applicant and family to pay the immigration costs, travel expenses and other settlement expenses to be able to establish in Prince Edward Island.
Demonstrate genuine intention to settle in Prince Edward Island.

Hi Arslanellahi,

I was also confused, but please do see the below info from the PEI website where it says a job offer is mandatory. :(

It doesn't seem to mandatory under PEI PNP Express Entry Stream
If anybody want to apply thru EE-PNP, the applicant must meet PNP qualification.

And also, If PEI GOV doesn't feel that applicant is interesting, they don't nominate and don't response back about your interest of PEI EE

Steps of EE - PEI PNP

1. Send a Form of interest of PEI PNP EE
2. If you get positive response from GOV, they send a package of PEI PNP EE application form.
3. Complete and send the application.
4. Nomination.
5. Apply to CIC steps.
6. AOR
7. MR
8. Passport request
9. Landing paper
10. Landing

It is my friend's steps a year ago. She applied Dec, 2015 and got PR May, 2016.

True, but it was a year ago. But now they make it difficult. Many people come to PEI need to get a job first before applying PNP. And the officer now very strict about application especially if u r not genuine will stay in PEI.
