"Details of intended study in Canada" Tuition - For what time period?

I'm filling out the Study Permit application and it asks for the cost of tuition, but I don't know what time period that is for and the directions don't say. I'm not sure if it's for a semester, a year, or the whole program. Does anyone have any more information on this?

cost of study is for the entire program.......u must have got the cost of the entire program from ur acceptance letter

The acceptance letter only lists the cost per year, but I can figure out the total cost. Thank you.
