hi. i have thought about going to Canada for studies and then may be get a permanent residence.
let me first give some of my details.
i have a Bachelors of Commerce Degree, along with that i have been doing ACCA, UK and cleared 7 of my papers. i have approx 1.5 years experience in banking sector and im currently doing Master in Economics from KU.
i have cleared my IELTS exams and scored 8 Bands
now i have been searching the means to go abroad. initially i got some info about going to UK for education but then i thought why not invest in a place where i can get citizenship a little easily (i guess?)
i have read online and found this forum to be huge one for Canada related community.
so guys, i m interested in moving to Canada.
i have a few questions which i need answers to. im sure many would know the answers to my questions. i know i can visit the immigration and study consultants but i thought it would be better to get the info from u guys, cause i think u guys would be more sincere and more accurate while helping than these consultants.
i need to know the very basic info.
How much does it cost to study and live in Canada for an Undergrad degree? this is the most important question. my financier would be my mother and i need to know about the least expensive and good standard university and a place where i can get a job ASAP.
how long does it take for an international student to get the permanent resident visa? i mean is it possible? what are the requirements?
i need to go to a province where it is comparatively easy to get a Permanent Resident Visa. so pls advise me which province should i look to where i can get the Permanent Resident Visa easily after my qualification.
can some one give a rough estimate about how much does it cost for accommodation and approx monthly expenditure in Canada? that includes everything from accommodation to travel expenses, study and every other thing.
the above information is the one i need urgently.
1- what are the most basic requirements for Canada international student visa?
2- how to choose university and which universities u guys recommend where standard of education is nice and also the degree has a worth in Canada?
3- i have read that from July 2014 the international students dont need a work permit and can work 20hrs a week and full time during vacations. is it true?
4- how long does it take to get a job after one lands there? what kind of jobs can we do there, odd jobs?
5- i think this years intake is over, so what the next earliest date or session i can apply for?
guys i know its a bit too much to ask at once but i need to know this as soon as possible. i belong to kinda lower middle class family and it was very difficult for me to convince my family for this. i have just initiated this. its a long and hard way i know. i cant afford expensive unis and place to live. i want to know about some university which has lower fees and where other expenses are least.
thanks in advance.
and if any one is in Karachi & thinking of going to Canada next year, need to may be discuss or talk or something, i can be reached via Skype. do let me know if anyone interested.
