Designation was renamed in the system. Should I mention in express entry profile?

Hi,
In my company, there was no change in the designation, but only the designation-name was updated in the system some time since they thought it would suit well, which was done for all the developers. There was no change in roles or responsibilities. Do I need to mention it in the express entry profile as two different designations? because they are not. How can I handle this? please help.

Is you company providing you letter with both the designations or just the latest one. If latest one, then just mention that.

My company is just providing with the latest designation in the employer reference letter. But in OINP application, they have asked for first and last payslip of all work experiences. In that case, my first payslip will have a different designation than the last one. How do I justify this change? Because it is not because of any promotion and just was updated in the system in the company.

When your designation changed, did company notify you through email or published it in the intranet? If yes, use it and provide it in letter of explanation.

I would have mentioned it as "Old designation/ new designation" as one title while adding in job history.

No it was not informed officially in any writing. In the system it was just changed to reflect in the records. Should my employer reference letter mention this?

If your employer can mention that, it will be best. Other option to get it formally documented by your employer is, by mailing your HR department, asking why your designation changed from designation A to designation B. Their response to your email can be used as a supporting document with your explanation letter.

deeps1987 - Thank you very much. I have mailed my HR department asking for it. I'll see what they reply. What is an explanation letter? Should I write a letter stating the change and attach the details sent from the HR department? I have a couple more questions if you can help.
  • I have taken maternity leave for about 7 months in which only 3 months was unpaid. Should I mention this gap in the OINP application? I was employed all the time and also it was not the last or first 6 months of my job. Is it necessary to mention that?
  • I do not have the very first payslip of my first company. Not even getting the bank statement for it as it was very long back in Feb 2009 when e-statements were not available. What can I do? Will the appointment letter work? I have the offer-letter and appointment letter.

It is a letter one provides to support your application with any additional info that could help reviewer to understand your application better including any unusual situation like you have regarding designation.
Should I write a letter stating the change and attach the details sent from the HR department? Yes, I would recommend that.

Does any of your document indicate that you were on break, like your employment letter from company. I suppose, no. In that case, I do not think it is required to be mentioned. But I hope others can comment on that.

Thank you very much for ur response!
1) I have asked my HR team for a letter on change of designation.
2) No, none of my employment documents state that I was on leave.
3) I got the old bank statement from the bank. Does it suffice?
Thank you for taking time to respond.

After getting NOI from OINP I read somewhere that you have 30 days to accept the NOI and 45 days to submit the application. I have already started my application. How should I accept my invitation i don’t know how to accept. I had always thought I should just submit an application.
Honestly, no idea. I would suggest that post your question on OINP in below forum which is specific to PNP. Here under express entry, you might get limited info on PNP.

I just asked my employer to give me a letter stating the changes to the title due to organizational restructuring and got it. I attached that and explained it in the LOE.
