Dear Friends, a person xyz designated me to apply her visitor visa online. In the initial questionnaire we answered that she does not have any knowledge of computer as well as internet. She signed both forms named authority to release information and designated representative. Now the question is that should I apply through MyCIC using my GCKey which is registered with my name or I can also create a new GCKey after registering with the name of xyz(applicant). Your help will be highly appreciated. The main question is that in case of designated representative can we apply using the gckey of applicant? Thanks in advance.

Simply make a new, separate individual GCKey and MyCIC for her, and you can access it yourself as you'll include the Use of Representative and Authority to Release Info forms for her.

Hello Kuljeet,

I have same issues for my mother, application status says cancelled. I did same things as you did. ( Two confirmation email from CIC-->then i did case specific inquiry web form-->I got an email from CIC that your application is updated. But nothing was changed in it. No new message)

Did you get any response from CIC or any visa application updates? Can you please guide me, we are going to Canada on 17 July and we didn't see any repose from CIC yet. I bought tickets and all.

How long it will take in your case? did your friends mom got visa?

Thanks,
