Hi,
I had an doubt related to sponsor my boyfriend. He has been deported from canada for failed refugee clamaint and we are planning to get marry by 2023 and to apply for PR.
I had an two question here.
Is that good to mention his name in my PR application as my husband? or Is it good to get marry once I get my PR?
Is there any chances that my PR application will get rejected because of marrying deported person from canada.

Does anyone face same situation ? If yes could you guys help to find an solution for this issue?

Please and thank you

Well, don't list him as your husband or spouse unless you meet IRCCs definition. How long ago was he deported?

It's hard to comment without knowing all of the details of the case.

The absolute safest option if you want no risk of his situation impacting your PR application is to get married after you become a PR (this of course assumes you aren't common law and haven't lived together). If you get married first, he'll need to go through the ARC process to return to Canada which will prolong your application process. You would also want to make sure you know all of the details of his deportation - for example if it was just due to the failed refugee claim or if there were any misrepresentation or inadmissibility issues involved. If there was misprepresentation or inadmissibility issues, then it's possible this could impact your PR application if you are married. Devil is in the details and we don't know the details so hard to give direction.

Again, "safest" is to get married afterwards provided you aren't common law. However this will also mean you may be separated for quite a period of time since you will need to be living in Canada to sponsor him for PR and he'll need to go through the sponsorship and ARC process to return.

He is been deported 1 year ago
A deportation order can be issued on a number of grounds. You need to specify which, since some are more serious then others. Also if your boyfriend is inadmissible to Canada, it may impact your admissibility as well, if you are married to him.

You sure he is given a deportation order rather than a departure order? Usually when a refugee is claimed, the applicant is given a conditional departure order enforceable only after the claim is failed.
