Hi all

one of my friend came to Canada in 2016 on study permit. His study was 2 year course but he was hardly able to finish his study in 3.5 years as he keeps on failing the exams. Then unfortunately he got caught into drink and drive case. Then he got deportation’s orders which he re appeal in court. He was supposed to get get back to Canadian border security within 3 month but his appeal is still in court from last 9 months. Yesterday he got deport letter from CBSA including ticket to back home. His passport is still with immigration or border security and they said you will get back your passport once you landed your home country. His flight is on 30th march so he has only 20 days.
my question is what options does he has to fight back. Please help.

regards

Sometimes all people need is to be disciplined, He has gotten himself into this problem. He should find a lawyer ASAP but don’t think it will help since his days are numbered.

A lot of his issues are of his doing . Not taking his education seriously, well not everyone is educationally inclined, but then ending up with a DUI is in inexcusable. Extremely stupid thing to do. If they’ve booked him a ticket , then it’s time to call it a day.
I’m not the type of person that panders to someone . Some on here will say “ Good luck in trying to stay yada yada yada . But some say that all the time when someone has run their course in staying in the country . He could of killed someone . As you put it “ unfortunately they got caught “ Let’s put they fortunately got caught before they killed someone or got themselves killed .

Get the hell out of Canada, I don't want him here. Coming here, claiming refugee status, enjoying the benefits of Canada's protection and then DUI and putting my fellow Canadians at risk? Go home.

even though I 100%, agree that DUI shouldn’t be taking easy in anyway. But who you are to day to someone to leave Canada ?, no one is asking for your opinion if you want him or no!!, why you are putting yourself as someone important?. The funniest thing I did read today.

I am providing my opinion and I'm important enough to get PR, so up yours bud. If it makes your eyes bleed then I feel sorry for you.

Failing at exams and getting a DUI shows that this person's character is extremely concerning. If you get the chance to come to Canada and you squander it with actions like this, that's on you. I don't think this person has any chance of staying in Canada, so hopefully they can fix their internal issues when they get back to their home country, learn their lesson and apply for PR again later.

What chance does this person have anyway? They screwed up on their study permit and then got DUI. This is a completely lost cause here and the only person who will win are lawyers who will enjoy earning large fees despite knowing a deportation is guaranteed. There is no overcoming a DUI in combination with his poor academic record. Not like he has a wife and kids here to try and get PR on H&C grounds.

the whole point was speaking as you own Canada , and making decision.
My eyes won’t bleed because simply I don’t care, but what got my attention most of your replay or post you speak as you are the Alpha. Anyway, replaying to this kind of personality waste of time. Enjoy your day bud

I do share ownership of Canada. I get rights to tell my MP about how things are being run and he takes my suggestions into account when shaping local policies. I even told SINP about how some people were sneakily inflating wages to get nomination certificates and my feedback helped them shape provincial immigration policy. So no need to talk down to me because you think devaluing my power makes you look big. With PR everyone gets an immense amount of power to use for the good.

I have every right to be annoyed at this post because what the OP is basically asking is this: "Hey my friend completely failed to show he has any economic value to Canada, and furthermore he is a danger to society. Can we still sneak in PR in some way?"

All I'm saying is it's unbelievable that some people's sense of entitlement is so high that they still think they deserve the ultimate prize (of PR in this case) with no effort on their part. If you haven't put in the effort, just walk away. I know I would.
