Deportation from ABU-DHABI while Coming to Canada on student visa

it was an honest mistake, my younger brother was coming to Canada via ABU Dhabi all the way to Toronto Pearson international from new Delhi. he didn't have Transit visa, he had to stay in the transit area for almost 10 hours, then he booked another flight back to the Delhi and upon reaching on New Delhi he filled the form of deportation and they stamped on the passport he will no longer be able to fly over the country for next 5 years. the worst part was, i didn't understand why did the indian immigration allowed him to board the flight..!!

his flight itinerary was New Delhi - Abu Dhabi 2 hours of layover then long flight to YYZ Toronto
my query is Would it impact his entry in Canada when he arrives at Toronto?

or should we seek any suggestion from IRCC?
