Hi,

I recently got a job offer in Canada. So I am applying for Canada immigration under Skilled category. Currently I am in the US. At the time of filing my application I realised that my son's passport has expired.

Can I still go ahead and apply for the PR without giving the details of my son's passport ?

It will take more than a month for the passport to get renewed from the Indian Embassy. Further, the points system is changing from 13, Jan 2013.

Appreciate if somebody will give a quick reply.

Thanks/Ajay

When i am filing the Immigration form for Canada. They are asking for the passport details of the dependent.

There are two options :

1. Valid travel document.
2. No travel document.

Can I select no travel document ?

Thanks

at this point you do not have travel documents but you have to mention in a cover letter all details with the proof that you have already applied for PP of your son at Indian embassy.

Expired PP doesnt mean that you dont have travel doc. You should attach copies of your old PP and apply for new via Indian Embassy.
