Dependents - family details, do I need to add parents, siblings etc?

You must provide the following details about each of your family members, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not?

1) None of my family members are 'dependent', am I misinterpreting the question or do I need to fill out my parents, siblings and common law partners details?

2) What do they mean by dependent?

As it says in bold, "You must include your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, and all of your dependent children, and those of your spouse or common-law partner, who are not already permanent residents or citizens of Canada."

They mean your children. You don't include your partner, as s/he is the sponsor.

1. I assume you are being sponsored as a spouse or applying as FSW. You just list your dependents, i.e. spouse and children (FSW) or children if any as dependents.
2. Your family siblings parents are listed on the IMM 5406.

Yes, disregard that one. It is simply an extension of the Dependents section on IMM0008, for people that have more than 5 dependents, (yikes )
