Hi,

My current closed work permit is expiring on 28-Dec-2014.
I have applied for PR under CEC category. I am planning to apply for Bridging Open work permit (BOWP) and go back to my home country because i am not allowed to work with my current employer on implied status.

My question is, when i apply for BOWP, do i need to apply for extension of my wife and child's visitor status or not required.
I am planning to apply TRV (Visa stamping) from my home country once i get my BWOP approved. To apply for my family's TRV from my home country, Do i need to apply their visitor extension along with my BOWP or not? is it possible to apply their dependent visa just based on my BOWP?

My work permit extension fee is 155$. Do i need to apply for my family's visitor extension of 100$ fees along with my BOWP?

Thanks & Regards

1. You can't apply for a BOWP from outside Canada.

To be eligible for a bridging open work permit, you must:

Currently be in Canada;
Have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within 4 months;
Have received confirmation from CIC that your permanent resident application is eligible under one of the four economic classes (FSWP, CEC, PNP and FSTP), and;
2. If your family is leaving Canada with you, then their visitor status expires.

Sorry, if my description was not proper.

I am planning to apply BOWP before i leave canada by 28-Dec-2014.

My questions was, do i need to apply my family's visitor extension now itself or i can apply for my family's dependent visa from outside canada once i get my BOWP approved.
