Thanks for the reply
He had alrdy done a one year course and took another course for earning more stay back period.
He works in a reputed bank only after getting the legal papers and documents for working. So after course duration he will get open work permit which enables to sponsor family? Will that be again TRV which will need an exit after 6 months? What will be the duration for processing if he applys from canada?

If he is working right now, he must have some kind of work permit. If he took a course for the school year 2012 - 2013 and is taking another course now for 2013 - 2014, he must have gotten another study permit for the 2nd course. He may be eligible for a student work permit which would allow him to work up to 20 hrs. a week during the semester and full time during holidays. That may be the permit he is working under right now.

After graduating, he may qualify for a 1-3 year open post-grad work permit depending on how the 2 courses relate to each other.

Processing time depends on the immigration class he applies under.

What category he can apply for/ will be eligible for?
If he is working a skilled position at the bank, he would be able to apply for PR under CEC after a year of working full time but only work after graduating would be counted. The processing time for that is 13 months right now, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-ec.asp

There may also be an option for him to apply under PNP in his province as a graduate but that would be after he graduates with a full time job offer and possibly some hours worked. Processing time for that depends on the visa office.

Hi all

My current status :
Got married on 15th Jan 2014. Presently in India and will be re-entering Canada on 02nd Feb 2014. My wife is currently in India.

My plan :
Will be adding details of my wife to my PR application after when i re-enter Canada. After that ,my wife will be applying for spousal open work permit in India through vfs-canada.

My doubt :
Does my wife have to undergo medical exam before applying for open work permit or can she wait until she gets an intimation from Canadian high commission in India?

PS: please go through my above posts in the same thread to understand my case better.

Thanks,
Saju

Hi all

If my wife is applying for open work permit simultaneously when i add her details into my PR application, will there be any problem?
