Hi,
I live in Toronto and have a closed work permit which expires in Aug 2014. I haven't applied for PR yet. End of this month, I will be going to India to get married. I would like to immediately apply for my wife's visa then.
One of the requirements for applying the dependent visa is to provide an notarized invitation letter. Questions:
1. Can I create an invitation letter right now (before marriage) mentioning that I will be getting married after certain period Or I can do it only after marriage. The reason I am asking this is because I have to get the letter notarized in Canada before leaving for India for marriage. Right now, as I am unmarried, of course I do not have any proof to show to notary officer.
2. Is there a visa category for dependent where she can apply for 'Work Permit' directly. Or should she apply for 'Temporary Visitor Visa' and ask for Work Permit at port of entry?
Thanks,
Torsun
