Dependent Spouse in Express Entry

Hi All,

can you please help me with your suggestions. I have created an express entry profile having my wife as a primary applicant and me as a dependent spouse. I have got the message from CIC, as a next step to create a Job Seeker Profile with the Express Entry Profile number and Job Seeker Validation Code.

as a dependent spouse can I use the Express Entry profile number and Job Seeker Validation code and create a profile ? or it should be only for the primary applicant ?

Only for primary. You can probably create the job seeker profile without the validation code. The job bank is pretty useless in actually getting any jobs though. Try other job boards etc. for that purpose.

Thanks a lot for your response. Actually I tried to create a job seeker profile, which may be beneficial if CIC / Province searched for PNP process and any possibility for Nomination. Is that not a right process ? Thanks!

I have some queries on how effectively can dependent spouse's experience and skill can properly use it for getting an ITA. Appreciate any way forward.

1- If dependent gets the employment opportunity in Canada before the primary applicant, will that qualify for the ITA ?

2- Most of the Job openings are demanding for the immediate joiners, Does any specific Job Portals helps f the Express Entry candidate for applying the Job Openings while in the pool.

3 and Last,

If Primary applicant want to increase the CRS ranking by considering, pursuing Higher Education in Canadian University. whats the right approach.

Profile is been in the pool for a month, Thought to utilize this forum in a best possible effort to get the chances for ITA . Appreciate your guidance. Thanks !

Hi Ashtush,

Primary Applicant is my wife, her higher education is Masters in Financial Management.
CRS score is 343.
I am the dependent spouse- my higher education is Master of Computer Application.

I am thinking of using my experience and skill to look out for the employment opportunity. if not , thinking of getting my wife to pursue the higher education to increase the score. please let me know if you need any details. Thanks for your support.
