Hello, just need some advice , i wanted to lodge the application for the kids but the passport is expired, someone mention that i need a valid passport before i can lodge the application . Is the FORM IMM 5534 is the correct document checklist for dependent child PR application

Whose passport is expired? The children will need valid current passport. If it's the sponsor, advisable to have but I believe the PR identification should be enough.

In the application it states that a current valid passport is not needed, however with that said it is better to get that renewed asap as the PA will need that to do the medical exam and be issued a visa. My suggestion is to get the PA passport renewed and get the application in. It will save you time later
